| Anne
is a founder and the senior educator from the Ananda Sanga Educational Institute
in Somerset West. She gave up a career as Marine Chemistry Researcher
at the CSIR, in 1992 to teach yoga and study further in the wellness
and health fields. She now mainly trains Yoga Teachers & Therapists,
EFT Practitioners (Emotional Freedom Tapping) and MYYO Practitioners
(myofascial/muscular release technique), however also has a successful
therapy practice. She presents at various natural health conferences,
and conducts workshops and retreats both nationally and internationally. She is
author of many articles in well-known journals & magazines in South Africa
and internationally, and has written all her own training manuals, workshop materials
& numerous e-books. She is also the eternal student, and loves to learn.
Anne
has studied Kriya Yoga, Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda in the
USA and India with respected and well-known teachers.

followed by a full 30 minutes of yoga nidra (relaxation), perfect to end the day. |

Yoganada's spiritual teachings, which he called Kriya Yoga because it is the yoga
of doing a specific practice which leads to self-realisation. |

Therapy: The Integral-Vinyasa Style The importance of adapting
yoga postures to suite individual needs. Integral Yoga is based on Patanjali's
Yoga Sutra and is all encompassing. Vinyasa is a flow style of yoga asana building
up to a crescendo, then calming down to relaxation, pranayama and yoga nidra.
It uses synchronization of breath, movement and mind. |
